You can book directly in the village all main excursions to visit the zone and the most beautiful beaches of Orosei’s Gulf. You can make one-day trips (about 8 hours), half-a-day trips (about 4 hours) or evening trips (about 5 hours).

Visit to Biderrosa environmental oasis

Half-a-day trip. Situated about 5 km far from the Village, it’s an environmental protected area with limited access. It’s a wide area which includes 3 beaches of fine white sand, crystal water and low seabed, particularly suitable for children. In some periods of the year there it’s enriched by the charming presence of pink flamingos.


Visit to Berchida Beach

Half-a-day trip. 10 km far from the Village you can find one of Sardinia’s most beautiful and uncontaminated beaches, one of the favourite backgrounds for post-cards, posters and leaflets. Behind the beach, there is a little pool that, in some periods of the year, gives to Berchida the aspect of a Caribbean atoll, leaving emerging from the crystal water only a little strip of white and fine sand.


Little cruise of Orosei’s Gulf whit motor boat

One day trip. Departure from Marina di Orosei’s beach at 10 a.m., boarding on the motor boat to spend a pleasant day of navigation in the wonderful waters of the gulf. You will land on the most beautiful beaches of the coast, the most famous and uncontaminated right because they are reachable only by the sea: Cala Luna, with its famous Grottoni, the wildest Cala Sisina and Cala Mariolu, with its precious pebbles. You can visit Bue Marino’s cave, ancient shelter of the Mediterranean monk seal. The entrance ticket for the caves isn’t included in the cost of the excursion.


Little cruise of Orosei’s Gulf by rubber boat

One day or half-a-day trip. Departure from Marina di Orosei’s beach at 9,30 a.m., on a rubber boat with driver, in order to be more independent and visit the most famous inlets of the Gulf: Cala Luna, Cala Sisine and Cala Mariolu. In this case too, you can visit Bue Marino’s cave, ancient shelter of the Mediterranean monk seal. The entrance ticket for the caves isn’t included in the cost of the excursion.


Visit of Ispinigoli’s Cave (Dorgali)

Half-a-day trip. Departure from the Village at 9 a.m. Arrival at Ispingoli’s cave, karst chasm more than 50 meters long, also known as “Virgins’ Chasm”, because of the old belief according to which young virgins were sacrificed here. Inside the cave there is a huge 38 meters high column, which rises proud in the middle. The walls all around are wonderful and thousand of crystal clear jewels surround the highest stalactite-stalagmite of Europe.


Visit of Galtellì’s historical centre

Half-a-day trip. Departure from the Village at 9 a.m. There you can find very strong the call of the landscapes’ architectures, traditions, people, which remind images, environments, houses, tastes and frames of mind of “Galte”, the most famous novel by Grazia Deledda, which earned her the Nobel prize, nowadays in the middle of the literary park dedicated to the writer from Nuoro. The little town still preserves undamaged the views that inspired the masterpiece. To tell traditions, life and economy of Galtellì’s past, inside the built-up area, in Garibaldi street, there is also the eighteenth-century residence known as “Sa Domo e Sos Marras” (Marras’ house), which, become seat of the Ethnographic Museum of the town, collects finds and evidences which give an idea of the country life in the past centuries.


Visit to Costa Smeralda

One day trip. Departure from the Village at 8 a.m. with tourism bus directed to the northern-eastern coast of the island. Running along the most knew summer resorts there will be some halts to take photos. Stop at Porto Cervo, the most important centre of Costa Smeralda, where you can make a little tour with a small train to visit every detail of the famous resort. Then the trip will continue towards Baja Sardinia, another famous seaside resort of the zone, where you will have lunch. Halt in Baja’s terrace, to admire the wonderful isles of Archipelago, and the nearby Corsica. Then the trip will go on, through the inner route, Via delle Rocce Sarde (Sardinian’s rocks way), the famous Tafoni engraved by the wind. NB: The price doesn’t include the lunch in the restaurant and the panoramic tour with the train.


Excursion and trekking in Orgosolo and Supramonte

One day. Excursion starting from the Village at 8 a.m. with a comfortable minibus, arrival at Orgosolo. Continuation with an all-terrain vehicle towards Montes forest, stop by “Funtana Vona” spring, where the river Cedrino has its source, ascent to “Novu San Giovanni” mount (1316 meters, in a clear day you can see the sea), views of some of the most enchanting zones of Supramonte, with particular interest to the flora-fauna of the territory, continuation and observation of the different changes of the secular woods (ilexes, oaks), stop in the ancient sheepfolds typical of “Su Vadu e S’Eni”. Return at “Su Pradu”. Lunch with local products. In the afternoon visit at Orgosolo, famous for its “Murals”. The price includes bus/guide/lunch. We recommend suitable shoes for an easy trekking.

Visit to Nuoro’s museums and market

Half-a-day trip. Departure from the Village at 8,30 a.m. Nuoro is the provincial capital, situated in the heart of Sardinia, where you can visit the Museum of Sardinian Life and Popular Traditions. Nuoro is the native town of Grazia Deledda, Nobel prize winner for literature. You will have some free time for shopping in the market situated in Corso Garibaldi, to visit the cathedral and the historical centre.


Barbagia with a 4WD

One day trip. Departure with a Jeep from the Village towards Oliena, where the trip continues on a panoramic route which leads to the top of Corrasi Mount, which, with its 1463 meters of high, represents Supramonte’s highest peak. After a nice walk to discover Supramonte’s flora and fauna, coming back with the Jeep you will reach a dense wood of secular ilexes, where there will be a break to taste some local and typical products and the excellent Oliena’s Cannonau wine. Then the trip continues along an unmetalled road, dominated by the Basalt Columns of Su Gullei Plateau, running along Cedrino River and then arriving at Lanaittu’s valley. Then you will visit the village of Sos Carros, known for its “Nuraghe”, whose recently discovered sacred spring represents in its genre one of the oldest architectures of Mediterranean Sea. From here, in a few moments you will reach the friendly shepherds for a typical and tasty lunch. In the afternoon you will visit the karst complex of Sa Oche e Su Bentu caves. Seas and mountains with a 4WD

Half-a-day trip. Departure with a Jeep directly from the Village. Once passed Orosei, the trip goes along an unmetalled road through the forest area of Su Anzu Mount. After having descended Punta Gurturgios side, so called due to the presence of Griffon Vultures, you will reach, through a panoramic route, Capo Comino. After the old lighthouse, there will be a little break for a snack to taste typical and local products. Then the trip will continue, running along the sea on an unmetalled track that, after 5 km, reaches Bèrchida beach. Stop of about one hour for a bath.NB:The price includes 4WD/guide/snack/lunch.
